Sunday Dinners
As an adult I have cherished the tradition of going over to Mom and Dad's house to eat a delicious meal prepared by Mom and the dishes and cleaned up by Dad. It is the one day a week that I don't have to think about and prepare dinner. It is so nice to be spoiled. Mom has always gone to great lengths and made sure that the table is set with a beautiful tablecloth and china. She was recently doing a cousin camp and her house cleaner said WOW you guys are really FANCY. I had to chuckle at that comment. I guess not everyone gets to enjoy a well dressed table every Sunday. I am grateful to think that I was taught how to properly set a nice table. Tonight mom sang to Brianna get your elbows off the table Brianna Knight this is not a horses table but a decent dining table get your elbows off the table Brianna Knight and it brought back memories of singing that to whoever the ill mannored child was for the night. Dinners were always fun at our house whether it was reminsing over Dad waking us up because we had lost his comb or talking about sports or even just making fun of eachother. I have often been accused of getting tipsy on Martinelli's but really it is just two great loves of mine are food and family.
