The gospel of Jesus Christ has been our center point of reference, helping us through the hard times. Our large family helping one another with love and support has been a huge blessing, constantly reminding us of the sacred covenants made in the house of the Lord. -Grandpa Reid

Fifty years ago today two very young people were married. We had little chance of making a marriage work both of us from dysfunctional homes, so young..we have been through fire,unemployment,off track children,fifty years of joy and pain. I... asked John tonight what were our most memorable experiences without hesitation he said our six children, and our seventeen grandchildren. We have had ups and downs. Times we wished we had never met and times of great gratitude that we did. It has not been a dull ride it has been an eticket ride. We have laughed we have cried a lot and we so want ten more years.John promises me then we can go on a trip. We have made it because of where we chose to be married in the Salt Lake Temple, why we chose to be married we loved each other and who we chose to be a part of our marriage Jesus Christ. And all the people throughout our lives who have loved us been an example to us tried us and given us solace. Our children and grandchildren our legacy.
